Lighthouse Beach: 35 meter tall Lighthouse is synonym to South India itself. It is the largest among the 3 beaches in Kovalam and is a favourite among the tourists.

Hawah Beach: A yesteryear fascination as it was the only topless beach in India. Even though the topless concept is banned now, people frequent Hawah Beach for its beauty and its sunsets.

Samudra Beach: A fishermen beach! And preferred by tourists to experience local life in close quarters. fThe shore line is fringed with rocks and the bach is often vacant, hence swimming alone is not advisable.

Edakallu: Is a favourite for numerous photographers as the sunset shot from here is the most beautiful and perfect one.

Valiyathura Pier: The 214 meter long pier located at the ancient port of Valiyathuranear Kovalam instils curiosity in tourists. It is now used by shutterbugs and by others for angling.

Vizhinjam Village: This 7th century village is located 3km away from Kovalam. A favourite among the flowerchildren of the 70’s is now known for its Ayurveda centres, rock cut temples, beaches and fishing harbours.
